It’s really sad that my Furby looks more hardcore than me right now.
DILEMMA.
I had an amazing idea for an outfit for MCM July/J-Con, had the fabrics, patterns, findings and everything sorted. But then I discovered that my idea pretty much already exists, a la this Milklim creation!
Well, I had a few variations to theirs in the form of; 3/4 length leg with pink ribbing on the bottom, permanent attached hood with pink lining, no pockets or embellishments, pink zip to fasten, short sleeves & the fabric I’m using is a lilac jersey with green polka dots (the same one I used for my most recent hoody). So it would be a bit different & a bit more kigurumi style.
I’m wondering whether to go ahead and make it anyway, I’m very concious of being called out as a ‘copy cat’, but I really, really like the idea. Milklim’s is brilliant, but it’s not exactly what I want. I just hope that my version would be different enough to not attract negative attention.
Opinions? Shall I make it anyway & scrap it if it’s shit?
So, three years ago my hair was a rat tailed, over processed ruin. One utterly miserable day and I grabbed a pair of scissors and took it out on my hair, leaving me with a mop that was was up by my ears and an absolute mess.
Since then, I’ve worn extensions and babied the shit out it.
For the first time in a very long time, this is ALL my own hair! Not a fake piece of hair in sight.
So for goodness sakes, never let me go near my hair with a pair of scissors again!!
I really want one, in another country, it’d be so cool!
I could send them some weird UK shit and they could send me some weird shit from their country. It would be fabulous!
This (SHOULD) be arriving this week.
I was originally going to purchase the lilac shade, but then I wussed out and bought this more socially acceptable pink.
I don’t even wear lipstick, and it’ll probably look terrible on me.
To be honest, I bought it for the packaging. It’s a sparkly unicorn for goodness sakes! Will be great whipping it out in public, sparkling my sparkly unicorn lipstick.
£10 well spent.
Kitacon was f’in’ fantastic.
I’ve been editing a montage video of the weekend all night, but I’ve lost my focus and will have to finish it after work tomorrow. I’ll post it when it’s done, along with a gushing report on how amazing Kita was. So for now, here’s a picture of me trying to get a shot of my hoodie I made for the Saturday of the con.
I can’t get over how good it was. Why can’t there be one next year??
Thanks guys and dolls for making it such a fantastic meet <3
And double thanks to the absolute super star Jennifer for taking shit loads of awesome photos (including this one) :D
